Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), the popular game developed by South Korean company Krafton, recently announced a groundbreaking partnership with Riot Games. This collaboration aims to introduce characters, items, and locations from Riot Games’ upcoming series, Arcane, into BGMI.
The updates are scheduled to roll out in mid-November as part of the Version 1.7 update. The objective is to offer players unique experiences, marking one of Riot’s initial efforts to extend the universe of League of Legends to a broader audience.
“In each game update, BGMI strives to provide its players with fresh, captivating content. This is achieved through partnerships with significant entertainment properties in the realms of movies and gaming, as well as collaborations with musicians, celebrities, and more,” stated the company in a recent announcement.
This collaboration represents the first of its kind between BGMI and Riot Games. Additionally, it promises to introduce new gaming areas and modes inspired by Arcane, enriching the BGMI gaming experience.
Vigorous Anti-Cheating Measures: Krafton’s Account Purge
In related news, Krafton announced a significant crackdown on cheating within Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Over the span of just over a month, the company has removed a staggering 2.5 million accounts.
“The extensive action taken against cheaters has substantially improved the gaming experience within BGMI, ensuring fairness and enjoyment for all players. Krafton remains committed to implementing any necessary measures to maintain a fair and enjoyable gaming environment,” the company emphasized.
Between October 1 and November 10, Krafton permanently banned 2,519,692 accounts and temporarily suspended 706,319 accounts, marking a robust effort to uphold the integrity of BGMI.
